What you get for preordering
Every preorder placed before November 19, 2026 includes the Vintage Vice City Pack bonus. The Ultimate Edition ($99.99) adds an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons and apparel woven through the story. The full breakdown of both editions is in our GTA 6 price and editions guide.
Where to preorder: your options
Official stores (digital)
PlayStation Store, Xbox Store and Rockstar Store: reference price ($79.99 or $99.99), guaranteed preload, zero risk. The peace-of-mind option.
Retailers (physical)
Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop: the boxed edition, sometimes with member discounts or exclusives (steelbooks, special editions). A little-known advantage: a physical preorder can be cancelled for free until it ships. You can lock in a copy now and change your mind at no cost.

The traps to avoid
- Unofficial "collector's editions" at inflated prices: Rockstar has not detailed a physical collector yet. Be wary of offers that look too good.
- Suspicious "worldwide" keys sold far below market: stick to established marketplaces.
- Paying for Ultimate without wanting its content: Standard gives access to the same base game and the same preorder bonus.
Should you preorder now?
If you are sure you will play at launch: yes, especially physical (cancellable) or if you find a key clearly below the official price. Demand is on record pace, with bank Piper Sandler estimating close to 45 million copies could move before release. Physical stock and the best offers will go first.
